Unemployment: what fails and what works

I just stumbled upon a pretty interesting program from Al Jazeera's Fault Lines on the problem of unemployment in the USA (it could be almost anywhere else: I know similar cases here in the Basque Country).



What fails? The so-called market, consumerism, individualism, taboo of socialism. In other words: Capitalism.

What works? Intelligent public subsidies and cooperatives (worker-owned companies that will never leave the community).
