Summer ending

Dear diary:

Yesterday I had to get a sweater on me in the evening. Today I woke up at 6 and it was still dark like a cave. Signs that, even if not yet officially, Winter is coming.

I hate Winter! I have hated it since the beginning of Time!

There is no really cold winter in the south-west coastal region (Mangalore) where I grew up. So, I never really like winter when I initially encountered. But over the years I have put on enough weight that I in fact welcome it. It should be noted here that true summer here means 40+ and winter around 10(mostly 13-18 degree celsius).

40 degrees Celsius plus is a little bit hot. The kind of climate where you want to go essentially naked and be all the time you can near the water and the shadow. Afternoon siesta highly recommended too. :)

However winter temperature looks very nice. I'm having those temperatures now and it's still summer!

I love cold weather and snow. I like rain too. This year it has rained constantly during the monsoons. Floods in Uttarakhand and UP. Govt declared holiday for 3 days. Thankfully the sun is out right now. Hope it'll stop raining. It snows in Mussorie - a hill station in Dehradun district but the last time it snowed in Dehradun was about 100 years ago. I'd really like if it snows in Dehradun Valley this year.
