Ameer MarkhoulI am not an immigrant. I didn't come to Israel - Israel came to me.
Anonymous Galilean womanAt the street, or at the supermarket, people are supporting the killing of children. And we are living among these people.
Hamas is struggling for the Palestinian people. I'm not supporting everything they do. But I'm supporting the struggle.
Found at the BBC.
The Nakba, the first phase of the Palestinian genocide (1949), left many natives still living within the borders of Israel (most just fled, many were killed) and these were granted citizenship. Nowadays they are 20% of Israeli citizens and growing. Some of these people's thoughts, people with an Israeli passport but who obviously belong to the native Arab Palestinian culture and ethnicity are those reflected above. Some politicians from this group are being forbidden to particpate in Israeli elections alltogether.

Palestinan 'refugee' camps are full of people born generations after 1949 but they are still classified (and hence supported) as refugees. The Palestinans encouraged the (subsidised) growth of their population as a weapon. If they live in overcrowded misery it can not be laid at the Israelis door entirely. Look to Europe Sweden is one of the largest donors to the Palestinians. Total Swedish support for 2008 is estimated at approximately SEK 700 million
In the same way the Israelis continued to build (subsidised) settlements on Jordanian land they had acquired in war, incorporating much of the West Bank with the US acquiescing in the use of 3-4.5 billion a year in aid.
They have both tried to get an outcome in their favour by using Western money and the end result is that there are now too many Palestinans for the remaining land
What land Israeli has left to give in any deal will not be enough for the Palestinans. For giving up their dreams of a truely viable state the young Palestinans will demand more than a patchwork of truncated 'Bantustans'.
For their part Israeli will not abandon the greater part of the settlements.
You have a great blog. I am glad to find more people posting about the Israel and Palestinian conflict.
If it is ok with you, I will add you to my blogroll. Keep up the good work.

What do you want? That they are absorbed into other populations and favor that way the genocide? Governments of other nations have always been hostile to this because they fear to becme "Palestinized" and pushed into war with Israel (i.e. Palestinians wont forget, no matter their legal status). Palestinians in Kuwait supported Saddam Hussein, partly because he would have given them citizenship and partly for his pan-Arabist rethoric. Palestinians in Jordan were massacred by the (truly pro-Zionist) royal Jordanian forces. Palestinians in Lebanon have been attacked and massacred by Christian Lebanese fascist militias with israeli support. Palestinians in Gaza have nowhere to integrate into (most gazans are refugees).
Don't be hypocritical and stop parroting Zinionist propaganda.
In any case, Palestinians have the right to live freely in their own country and not to be submitted to a gang of Neonazi European colonists.

Exactly. Israel is a total failure: they can win the war but they cannot make peace. The very colonialist project is an absurd scam for Jews (whose money is being collected and whose lives are being used as tokens in this impossible megalomaniac plan), a brutal racist tyranny for Palestinians (most of which have no rights at all and have to live in subhuman conditions comparable to Nazi concentration camps) and major headache for global politics that stirs conflict beyond borders.
It is a total failure and it will succumb in due time. You cannot just opress the people that way and go unpunished forever. Palestinians have just nothing else to lose (and this is particularly true for those cramped in Gaza), most are ready to fight to death - maybe because there's just nothing else they can do in life.
